- Clean and sterilize bottles and nipples
- Use water from a safe source–Boil your water and let cool before mixing (check with your child’s healthcare provider)

- Always fill your bottle with water before adding the powdered formula
- Shake or stir your formula
- You can prepare larger volumes of formula in advance by using a formula pitcher
- Make sure there are no clumps of powdered formula remaining in the bottle

- Use prepared formula within 2 hours at room temperature
- Use within one hour of starting a feed and once your baby’s mouth touches the bottle
- Use within 24 hours if stored in the fridge after mixing formula
- Ready to feed liquid formula should be used within 48 hours once opened and stored in the fridge

What temperature can I serve formula to my baby?
Your baby can drink formula cold, at room temperature, or warm. It’s purely a personal preference!
It is not recommended to use a microwave to heat formula as it can create hot pockets that can burn your baby’s mouth.
If you prefer to warm up the formula for your baby you can do one of the following options:
- Submerge your bottle in a cup of warm water and let sit for 5-10 minutes
- Use a Baby breeza and let it do the work for you to warm up the water and prep the bottle!
- If you’re on the go use the Baby’s Brew portable cordless bottle warmer to warm up a bottle in under 10 minutes. 15% off with code Wellrested15
