Why?? ➡️ The magic sleepsuit is perfect for babies who are transitioning out of the swaddle but still need that cozy warm feeling. It helps to dampen the startle reflex, but also give them more freedom. The startle reflex starts to diminish around 3-4 months of age, but some babies are still affected by the startle reflex until 5-6 months of age.
When?? ➡️ It’s perfect for transitioning from a bassinet to a crib. I have found that this works REALLY well for babies who are 3-4 months old (12+ pounds) who want out of the swaddle but are not proficient at rolling yet. This gives them more freedom without the disruption of getting frustrated and stuck on their tummy.
How long?? ➡️ The Magic Sleep Suit is intended to only be used for back sleeping, so if your baby is able to roll in the suit, it’s time to transition out of it. Once your baby has mastered rolling on their own during the day, you will find the transition out of this to be a breeze!!
